The Champion Painting will be chosen from the following Sections. The winning painting will not be eligible for the Section Prize.

SECTION 4: MINIATURE (Any medium) –

First Prize: $600

The image may not exceed 40cm perimeter excluding frame. Frame size should be proportionate to the image size and not exceed 122cm perimeter. Limit 5.

SECTION 5: LOCAL ARTIST (any medium) -

First Prize: $500

Artists residing within 100klm radius of Currabubula post code as in section 3 of conditions of entry.

Submission and Return Definitions

HAND: Delivered to/or collected from the Currabubula Hall.

Hand entries to arrive at Currabubula Hall on Monday 14 May 2018 between 10.00am and 2.00pm. Paintings cannot be removed before 4.00pm on Sunday 20 May 2018 but may be collected from the Hall before 5.30pm on that day and must be collected between 9am and 12 noon on Monday 21 May 2018 or returned C.O.D. Alternate arrangements may be made with the Painting Coordinator.

POST: Addressed c/o Post Office Currabubula NSW 2342. We would prefer paintings that were sent by post to be returned by COD post.

DEPOT: Delivered to/or collected from one of the Depots listed above prior to Thursday 3 May 2018 and after Wednesday 23 May 2018. *A fee of $10return for each painting will be charged for transport to and from Currabubula and Depot. This fee must be added to the Entry Fee/Entry Form.

BUS COMPANY: If you are using a Bus Company for submitting or returning paintings would you please inform the Painting Coordinator of the details.

If submission and return of paintings are likely to be via different methods, please mark Entry Form carefully and clearly.

Paintings will not be accepted unless securely packaged to avoid damage (i.e. bubble wrap, paper or cardboard are acceptable). All care but no responsibility will be taken by the Depots.

Conditions of Entry (Please Read Carefully)

  1. Entry Form with Fees must be returned to the Painting Coordinator by 23 April 2018. Please complete Entry Form Online or in Black Ink. Entry Form must state method of submission and return. Do not use White Out on Entry Form.
  2. Entry Fee of $12 per painting in Sections 1, 2, 3, 5, and $10 per painting in Section 4. Cheques and Money Orders payable to Currabubula Red Cross Branch.
  3. Local Section – Artists residing within 100km of Currabubula or in the following postcode areas are eligible for the Local Prize – 2353, 2338, 2339, 2340, 2341, 2342, 2343, 2344, 2345, 2346, 2352, 2355, 2380 & 2381.
  4. All items must be for sale and clearly labeled on the back with Artists name and address, title of the work, section, medium used and price. Please use enclosed label attached to the back of painting. NOTE: No alteration to title or price will be accepted. The signed Entry Form is binding and Catalogue information will only be taken from the Entry Form, not the back of the painting. “Untitled” is not acceptable as a title.
  5. Photographic work will NOT be accepted.
  6. Our Commission of 20% should be considered in your pricing. Nett payment will be made for sold paintings by 15 June 2018.
  7. Each entry must be the original work of the artist suitably framed or mounted. All entries must be ready to HANG with hanging wire attached, but loose enough to avoid damage while hanging and must not have been previously shown at the Currabubula Red Cross Art Exhibition. No painting may be entered in more than one section. All accepted entries are eligible for the Champion prize.
  8. Catalogue Entries will be hung, however, the Organisers reserve the right to reject any painting deemed unsuitable for hanging. OVERSIZED PAINTINGS WILL NOT BE JUDGED.
  9. The organisers reserve the right to have any entries reproduced in the Media. The Artist is responsible for ensuring that no relevant copyright laws are infringed.
  10. All transport and insurance costs to/from and during the exhibition must be met by the exhibitor. All care will be taken but no liability by Red Cross will be accepted for loss or damage in transit, or whilst on exhibit. All work must be securely packaged, preferably using bubble wrap as well as paper or cardboard.
